The famous "Widow of Mt. Holly" has been widely credited with influencing the outcome of the Revolutionary War. From 1776 until around 1979, her true identity remained unknown, though her legend was well established. This mysterious woman, whose beauty reportedly delayed the movements of a Hessian officer, may very well have altered the course of history. While some still question whether her identity has truly been uncovered, her story remains one of the most fascinating tales from the American Revolution.
This program is presented by Eric Orange, a staff member at the Burlington County Division of Parks, local historian and storyteller who will share his knowledge on our exciting early American history.
