This presentation explores how we can move beyond traditional DEI efforts to intentionally create spaces rooted in true belonging, within our organizations and across our communities. DEI invites us to reimagine how we build environments where people don’t just feel included, but genuinely belong. Strong DEI frameworks lay the foundation for spaces where individuals are seen, deeply connected, valued and empowered to thrive. 

This program is presented by AAUW State Director of DEI, Edwina Sessons. Edwina is a graduate of Cheyney University and Rutgers University where she received her Master’s Degree in Education. She also completed her post-graduate work at Rowan University for certification as a Learning Disabilities Consultant and Supervisor / Principal.
